Janet Mayson is an actress, producer, singer and songwriter. She is extremely passionate about independent filmmaking, music, and animals.

For the Libby Girl Series of short films, Janet is the director, producer, editor, writer, animal trainer, actress, and singer/songwriter of the theme song for the films.

Loving both sides of the camera, Janet lives for acting, as well as directing, producing, casting, filming, editing, writing, taking on the set photos, and location scouting. Recent acting roles are listed below.

In addition to independent films, Janet has also appeared in regional television and radio commercials, performed in theater productions, and sang solo and in incredible bands (including Thataway, which performed all over Illinois and Indiana).

One of her favorite shows, she performed solo before a sold out crowd of Brooks & Dunn fans at an Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame concert. There, she just happened to make grown men cry as she sang in honor of an inductee, an amazing artist, the late Lee Wiley. That was an experience she will never ever forget.

These days, she enjoys writing and recording original songs, and her songs are already included in, or are set to be in the soundtracks of 20 independent films, with 3 more currently in development for new films. (You can hear some of her original song drafts in the player at the right.)
